Nomad is a laid back place

... but we are essentially providing a greenery experience close to nature and, of course, in the spirit of sustainability. Unfortunately, there are a few things that must be regulated to ensure that all of our guests have a good time. Nevertheless, we are yet to receive a complaint about these rules.

Nomad FAQ:

Nomad FAQs:

Is the reception desk open 24/7?

Unfortunately not. The reception desk is open between 8.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. Should you arrive later, just let us know and we’ll be there waiting for you. If we can’t make it, the restaurant and bar staff will be happy to help you.

When should we arrive?

Between 3.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. on the first day booked. We can accommodate later arrivals; just let us know in advance please. Early arrivals aren’t a problem either – your room may even be ready before 3.00 p.m., but we can’t make any promises.

What payment options are available?

You can pay in cash, by bank card and SZÉP Card (all types).

When do I have to leave the accommodation?

By 10.00 a.m., but – depending on occupancy – an extension is possible.

I have a food allergy, is your kitchen prepared for that?

Of course. Just let us know in advance.

I'm on a special diet, will that be a problem?

Of course not. Just let us know in advance.

Is there a pool?

There is. We have an openair pool available exclusively for our guests, 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. from May to September.

We’re coming with kids, is that okay?

More than OK. We can arrange for stays with kids in the hotel, the Container House and the bungalows. Kids up to the age of 3 stay free of charge, in a cot or sharing a bed with parents.

Can we stay in your outoftheordinary accommodation, like the Bubbles or in the Stair-House, with kids?

Sorry, but these facilities are only available for guests over 18. They are adults-only accommodation.

Why can't we stay in the Bubbles or in the Stair-House with our kids?

These accommodation options are unsuitable for younger children. The whole point is for adults to be able to relax and unwind, focusing on themselves, each other and nature. In our experience, teenagers are not a good fit either. We hope you understand.

We’re coming with a small child. Can you provide a cot?

Yes, we can. We can also provide you with a baby bath, potty and a toddler toilet seat. The restaurant also has high chairs.

Can I bring a pet?

The Nomad is a dogfriendly establishment: dogs are welcome in the communal areas, the hotel, the bungalows and the Container House, but not in the Bubbles or the StairHouse. You should also be aware that we have four freeroaming dogs (Aranka, Pumpa, Arthur and Maszat) who are on their best behaviour, but kind of consider the area to be their own. We also have a cat, Mici. If your pet can handle this company, feel free to bring them. They can even be larger dogs; we have no size restrictions.

Dog and cat accommodation is available at an extra charge.

I would like to bring an unusual pet. Can I?

It depends on what you mean by unusual: a wolf, a goat? Or perhaps a boa? For unique pets, please consult us before setting off. We are not unfamiliar with such pets; we've had trained crows, rabbits, hedgehogs and stick insects. As a rule of thumb, pets are usually OK as long as they do not pose a threat or a nuisance to you, the other guests and the staff.

What kind of wellness facilities do you have?

Nature, everywhere around you. Please note that we do not advertise ourselves as a wellness hotel. Instead we offer trees, clean air and tranquillity. There's a jacuzzi and a sauna, which you should book in advance because they are not very big. Massages are available in our “massage wagon”, which you may also want to book well in advance. In beach season, all rooms come with a beach bag, towels and bathrobes.

Do you have a gym?

We don’t. But you can run, jog or hike in the woods and do anything else your body can handle.

Can I have my wedding at your facility?

Yes, you can. Our facility is open as a wedding venue between 1 September and 30 June. We have capacity for up to 80 people. We strongly advise you to consult us well in advance as we can only accommodate a few such events per season. For detailed information, see the Wedding section.

I'd like to have a party for family/friends. Could you be an option?

Yes, if you are ready to book all of our hotel rooms. We can cater for up to 80 people, between 1 September and 30 June. Not in July and August, unfortunately. For detailed information, see the Events section.

I'd like to hold a meeting/training session/seminar. Could you handle this?

Yes, you can rent a room without accommodation for up to 40 people. Amenities and catering will be provided. For detailed information, see the Corporate Events section.

Can I bring my own drinks?

Please do not. We have a wellstocked bar offering a great selection of international drinks in which local wines, needless to say, feature heavily. In special cases, we will serve you your own wine or champagne for a corkage fee.

Can I bring my own food?

Not to the hotel, the Bubbles and the Stair-House, please. However, this is OK for the bungalows and the Container House, which are equipped with a kitchen suitable for selfcatering.

I like to party, I live for dancing, do you guys have parties till dawn?

Not really. We're fundamentally about relaxation close to nature, and gastronomy. Music is turned down at around 10.00 p.m., and while the bar of course remains open, it is hardly the place for any wild partying.

When does the bar close?

In the summer, the pool bar is open from 11.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. In the winter, the hotel bar is open, with similar closing times in the evening.

Do you have internet?

Yes, broadband, throughout the premises.

Is there a parking area?

You can park next to all accommodation.

Parking is outdoors.

Can I charge my electric car?

Yes. We currently have a 220 V charging station, but an upgrade is in our shortterm plans.

Can I take the towels, bathrobe and umbrella home?

Please leave these items in the room. If you really want or need to take any of these items, please contact the reception desk.

I would like my stay at your facility to be an environmentally friendly affair. Do you have me covered?

Naturally (pun intended). It is our pleasure to have guests like you. We share your passion for keeping nature around us safe. We consider ourselves a sustainable establishment. But it requires the active involvement of you, our guests. This is why we kindly ask you not to waste electricity and water and help us by taking good care of our valley.
